Растин Заркар, аспирант и активист из Нью-Йорка, поделится, как прошли первые два года с Трампом и промежуточные выборы, как работает гражданское общество и институты и что будет дальше. Язык встречи — английский.
"2019 marks the midpoint of Donald Trumps tenure as President of the United States. Trumps 2016 election was a major shock to the American political establishment. For two years, the Trump Administration has been stumbling from crisis to crisis, which include diplomatic blunders, key staff firings and resignations, accusations of corruption and incompetency, enabling the rise of Far Right Nationalism, and even causing the the shutdown of the U.S. Federal Government (which is currently entering its third week) over his plan to build a security wall on the Mexican border.
In this talk, we reflect on the perceived success and failures of the Trump Presidency, as well as explore what the next two years might hold for American politics, society, and culture".
